It is officially July and the month of June has come to an end. June was a big month for me – it was my birthday month, I got my kitten, and I finished my Sophomore year of college! With that, June has been a busy month. I am working, trying to raise a kitten, and see my parents as much as I can. The products I am mentioning in this post have been my go-to’s for this past month and I feel like I cannot live without them (at this moment). What has been your favorites this past month? Let me know!
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration
This moisturizer has saved my dry skin! The June weather here in Seattle has been a mix of extremely hot and humid or dry and raining. Needless to say, it has been really messing with my skin. My skin has been super dry and I needed something to help it ASAP. The moisturizers I’ve used in the past, like the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, worked decently, but were not amazing. It left a greasy film over my skin and didn’t last very long either. The FAB moisturizer, on the other hand, is moisturizing, a little goes a long way, hypoallergenic, and works wonders for my dry skin. Not to mention, it has almost five full stars on sephora.com! I would definitely recommend.
Benefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Brow Pencil
This has been the best brow pencil I have used thus far. It is creamy, pigmented, and super easy to use. I originally got this pencil because my mom bought it for herself then decided eyebrows were too hard to do – so she gave the pencil to me. At first, I was skeptical because of the shape of the pencil and didn’t know how I could get a precise eyebrow shape with it. After using it, I was blown away by how easy it is to work with and blend to get a natural looking brow. Next, I want to try the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil because of it’s fine tip to create more hair-like strokes. If any of you have tried it, let me know your opinions!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea
Mario Badescu has been one of my tried and true skin care brands for years. Each product that I’ve used from this line has been amazing for my skin and leaves me feeling clean and refreshed. This facial spray is no exception. I use this after I cleanse my skin and before my moisturizer. I use three pumps and my face feels refreshed and nourished. I don’t have any bad things to say about this facial spray except, “try it!”
Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer
This is my favorite drugstore bronzer – hands down. It is smooth, has good pigmentation, and doesn’t look patchy or muddy on this skin. It gives my face a nice bronze while still looking natural. It has a creamy and soft texture and does not have too much pickup when dipping your brush into the pan. Not to mention, this bronzer is cruelty free, paraben free, gluten free, and hypoallergenic. Perfect for all skin types! Note: This bronzer is a lighter color so if you have a deeper complexion than myself, chances are this won’t work for you. Additionally, this bronzer has a very strong coconut scent. The scent goes away once you apply the bronzer, but if you are sensitive to smells, you might want to stray away.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF – Oil Free
Since I purchased this product, I have not used any of my foundations. Crazy, right? As a tinted moisturizer, I was skeptical of this giving me the coverage that I needed and wanted. To my surprise, it gave me a light to medium coverage, applied evenly on my skin (I have tried it with a brush, a beauty blender, and my fingers), and give my skin the SPF that it needs for the day without flashback! I cannot rave enough about this product. This is perfect for those hot summer days, as well as those natural low-coverage days. I love it! Also, if anyone was wondering, I am in the shade “nude.”
These have been my beauty favorites for this past month of June. I cannot say enough good things about the products that I have mentioned above! It’s always fun for me to try new products each month, and to share my thoughts with all of you. As someone who loves makeup, I try to test out new things as much as can. If you have any recommendations, let me know 🙂
